General information before your visit
We have great respect for our reindeer and offer only natural, authentic interaction with them. Each reindeer has its own unique personality – some are curious and will come close, while others prefer to keep a little distance. They are friendly animals, but remember that their antlers can sometimes be clumsy. Please be mindful and careful when moving around them.
During your visit, you can also warm yourself inside our traditional Sámi tent – the lavvo – or relax by the fireplace outside, where benches covered with reindeer skins create a cozy atmosphere. An outdoor toilet is available for guests.
We also provide headlamps when it gets dark, so that you can feel safe and enjoy the experience even in the Arctic twilight.
What to Wear
The Arctic can be cold, especially in winter. We recommend:
-
Warm winter clothing
-
Solid winter boots
-
Hat and mittens/gloves
-
Scarf/neck warmer
-
Wool layers underneath for comfort
✨ Tip: Bring your camera – the reindeer, the firelight, and the Arctic landscape are truly magic!
